Outdoor Resorts-Gatlinburg, TN

Drove Ka Hale up to Gatlinburg, Tennessee to spend a couple nights visiting it Barry’s brother and his wife who own a place in the resort.

Snagged a beautiful spot on the flowing creek. Not many people around so we were able to explore the entire resort.

Went into town. Was surprised on how crowed it was. They took two car lanes out to improve social distancing. It helped but too many people and we were some of the few wearing masks.

We first visited Gatlinburg 35 years ago when Barry & his brother had a place here. It’s still very nice and all of the trees have grown up.

Wrapped up the day with dinner at Trish’s Mountain Dinner a local favorite.

Next day was spent sitting creek side having breakfast, reading and relaxing. It was good catching up with Ron & Tiffany. Grilled burgers and corn for dinner.

Rain arrived the second night and we departed to head back to our cabin n Blairsville.

Eagle’s Roost – Lake Park, Georgia

Stopped half way to Kelsey’s in Atlanta. Found this nice campground, Eagle’s Roost. Nice shady sites among the trees draped with Spanish moss.

Spent part of the afternoon cleaning love bugs off our vehicles. Welcome to Florida in May.
