Lake Rousseau – Crystal River, Florida

We decided to get away for the weekend with Barry’s brother Ron and his wife Tiffany.  They would follow us in their Class C motorhome to Lake Rousseau RV Park in Crystal River, Florida.

The campground is nestled in a vast canopy of ancient live oak trees at the water’s edge on the Nature Coast of Florida.  Located in a secluded, unspoiled area only 10 miles northeast of Crystal River and 10 miles southwest of Dunnellon.  Lake Rousseau is fed by the Withlacoochee River and the natural springs of the Rainbow River, which flow into the Withlacoochee at Dunnellon. These two rivers provide Lake Rousseau with an abundant supply of water and bass, crappie, and bluegill to boot!   The RV park has a bait and tackle shop and heated swimming pool on plus bathhouses, laundry, and a clubhouse.

We both had nice campsites.  Ron & Tiffany decided to explore Crystal River while we explored the lakeside campgrounds and cooked dinner at the RV.

Sunday afternoon we drove leisurely home through the backroads of Central Florida.  We had a good time and hope to come back.
